Description

The power sources for TIG and MMA welding of the I-TIG line are compact and easy to handle, ideal for small maintenance jobs. A reliable and durable product, designed and manufactured with care at our San Marino factories.

All models have the exclusive CONVAIR COOLING SYSTEM ventilation system which makes them particularly robust and durable thanks to the reduced operating temperature of the transformer. They are also equipped with special input protections which allow to maintain adequate welding performance even in case of non-optimal power supply. Particularly useful feature for those who often work by connecting to motorcycle generators (see the characteristics table).

The I-TIG 318 model delivers 180 Amp in TIG and 160 Amp in MMA in direct current. It is designed for welding with the TIG process and with rutile and basic coated electrodes.

Used in the TIG process it is very easy to manage. For optimum performance in all welding conditions, a display and all essential adjustments are integrated in the sophisticated control panel.

• TIG HF LIFT: arc striking occurs without touching the piece by means of the high frequency or by touching the piece with the electrode and slowly lifting it. The risk of contaminating the piece with the tungsten electrode is low.
• Adjustable Pre gas / post gas: to avoid contamination of the weld pool.
• Adjustable Slope Up / Slope down: progressive increase and subsequent decrease of the welding current to obtain a flawless beginning and end of the welding seam.
• 2T/4T: allows you to weld without having to keep pressing the trigger of the torch.
