Weldability differences between Al/Si5% and Al/Mg5% wires.
Al/Si5% wire compared to Al/Mg5% wire has better weldability characteristics. It produces weld seams with improved aesthetics, smoother surfaces and a lower amount of spray.
The Al/Si5% wire is softer than the Al/Mg5% wire. Generally, wire feed is a minor problem when using Al/Mg5%, which is stiffer.

– Solid aluminium wire suitable for welding alloys containing up to 5% magnesium, used in the construction of structures in shipbuilding, railways, automotive and tank sector.
